Key Accountabilities


•   Manages Aviation Maintenance staff and ensures that they have the capabilities to perform their job up to the required standards. Motivates subordinates and monitors performance. Provides guidance and assistance to subordinates to resolve problems so that customer requirements are not compromised.

•   Monitors approved annual maintenance plans and objectives within the approved budget and defined Department policies. Optimizes resources including staff, equipment and material. 

•   Prepares and controls capital and maintenance expense budgets for all Aviation depots/air bases.

•   Coordinates with Purchasing Department to order spare parts and materials for the maintenance of equipment and facilities. Initiates storage of spare parts and materials and monitors approves issues from stores. Initiates Purchase Requisitions and provides full technical specifications and details of equipments required.

•   Submits statistics, to the VP- Aviation Operation Division, on performance targets against actual performance as per balanced scorecard objectives for maintenance activities. 


Job Specific Accountabilities


•   Oversees the maintenance standards and monitors staff is following defined procedures. Co-ordinates with Auditors from the Airlines, Exxon Mobil, internal and external bodies like QMS/IMS etc.

•   Ensures that employees adhere to safety, environmental and evacuation policies, procedures and all safety equipment is kept in optimum working condition. Checks all safety precautions are taken prior to work commencement in Aviation depot.

•   Liaises with the HR, equipment Suppliers and Contractors to arrange training for Maintenance personnel to ensure that staff has the knowledge and skills to maintain new equipment. Develops and implements refresher training programs.

•   Ensures implementation of planned preventive maintenance programs as per Exxon Mobil Engineering standards and procedures. Investigates technical problems related to equipment, as well as facilities and recommends remedial action.

•   Performs other similar and related tasks as assigned by the VP- Aviation Operations Division. 


Minimum Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automobile engineering.


Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • At least 12 years of job related experience in Oil/Petroleum Industry (Aviation Equipment & Facilities) with at least 5 years of Aviation equipment/depot maintenance supervisory experience.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Good knowledge of English and basic knowledge of Arabic.
  • Valid UAE driving license.
